Android M is officially named Marshmallow

Android today officially announced the official name of its latest Android version Android M (Android 6.0) as Marshmallow. Today this was confirmed by Google on Mountain View, Google's Campus. The secret of "Android M" revealed today. Google also revealed the Android 6.0 SDK. The rumors were there about the possibilities about the Marshmallow and M&M.

Along with it Google also updated its support library to v23.Obviously the first devices to get the Marshmallow will be the Nexus devices.

The statue of new Marshmallow also got unveiled. On Android's developer's blog they shared:
Whether you like them straight out of the bag, roasted to a golden brown exterior with a molten center, or in fluff form, who doesn't like marshmallows? We definitely like them! Since the launch of the M Developer Preview at Google I/O in May, we've enjoyed all of your participation and feedback. Today with the final Developer Preview update, we’re introducing the official Android 6.0 SDK and opening Google Play for publishing your apps that target the new API level 23 in Android Marshmallow.

In general, Marshmallow is the sugar based candy. Google always brings the names of their versions of android from the candies or chocolates etc. The last version of android was KitKat.
